  1. my affinity photo 2.5 is not the same as yours in the video. Under edit I have no tools. Your left toolbar looks longer than mine.

    • Hi Larry, check to see which persona you are in. Most of the course is in the Photo persona, which is the Affinity Logo on the left of the persona buttons in the options bar. My guess is that you opened a camera raw image which will have put you into the develop persona, which is third from the left, a round rainbow colored icon. The develop persona has far fewer tools than the photo persona.

  2. Hi George,
Thank you for teaching me how to use PSE. Now you are teaching me how to use Affinity photo 2. I would like to have a box that directs me to where a particular instruction can be found in which module. For example: in which module do you instruct on using “groups”. Thanks again for your good work.

    • Hi Craig, Since this is video based training a search box tool does not work. Groups are a part of Layers. Using a Group is easy, just select several layers then hit the Group Layers button which is at the bottom of the Layers panel, all the layers are then merged into that group. You can also then use Adjustments on the whole group. Add and Adjustment Layer above the Group layer, right click on the Adjustment Layer and choose Mask to Below, it will now affect all layers in the layer group but nothing else.

  3. Thank you for introducing me to Affinity Photo–I like it even more than PSE for photo retouching and enhancement.

I’ve purchased your HTG Photo course on PSE and appreciate your comprehensive instruction style. Even though I just completed another Affinity Photo Old photo restoration course, I decided to purchase this course because it explains the AP menu options like your (excellent) PSE course.

I have purchased the iPad version of AP 2.6 so I recognize there are (quite) a few areas where the iPad UI doesn’t match the desktop.

I don’t know if you will address that in any supplemental instructions for the iPad, but I might also buy the (macOS) version if it has more capabilities than the iPad version.

I appreciate your style and many instructive videos, so look forward to this training too.

    • You’re welcome Glenn! At the moment I don’t have any plans on adding in iPad instructions since I don’t use an iPad but I will make a note of your request and maybe will add that in the future.
