Formatting Secrets for Kindle and Nook eBooks

Creating eBooks is one of the best and easiest ways to get your information out on the web. eBooks can be shared, or sold through many different outlets. eBooks can be as simple as a 3 page brochure or a multi-page novel, it all depends on your needs. But to have a truly professional looking eBook you do need to know how to format it correctly. It isn't just a matter of creating your eBook in Microsoft Word, putting in the formatting you want, then converting it for Kindle or Nook. This will get you only part way there. If you have tried to take a nicely formatted eBook and then simply convert it to Kindle or Nook you know what I mean. At best it just doesn't look right, at worst the formatting is all over the place.

Lots of the formatting techniques that you can use in Microsoft Word or other word processors will not work in Kindle and Nook. Plus several other formatting techniques will work in Kindle and Nook, but are not available in word processing programs like Microsoft Word. For a really professional look you need to know the special formatting secrets to control the layout of your eBook. This is where this special training title comes in. I demonstrate how to properly format an eBook using Microsoft Word. I show you what will work and what will not work. Plus we look at how to take your Kindle or Nook eBook and edit the code directly, tweaking the formatting so it is exactly what you want.

This set is an ideal companion training disk to our other eBook training titles. Whereas our previous training titles show you how to use the different software titles (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) to create eBooks, this new title is aimed specifically at getting the best looking eBook possible on Amazon's Kindle and Barnes & Noble's Nook eBook readers. This is also an ideal companion training set to our popular Making Money on the Internet series.

Although we demonstrate each lesson with step-by-step examples, this training assumes that you have at least a basic understanding of the programs demonstrated, and we highly recommend our regular training titles if you need more training in the software programs shown.
